After ordering most of northern Gaza to evacuate, Israeli forces fired on Palestinians desperately trying to flee
In a joint statement on Wednesday, a coalition of 18 aid groups warned that the ongoing Israeli assault “will worsen the already dire humanitarian situation in the north” and has already “prevented international and national humanitarian organizations from carrying out already very limited lifesaving aid operations.”
A foreign government can not order the citizens of another country to “evacuate”…
That’s not how any of this works
Unless you are the Israel, the International Law doesn’t matter anymore. You will have a full US support - “superpower” they say.
Welcome to Palestine, where Israel can do anything and the rules don’t matter.
And the US backs them so no one else can speak out against them either.
It’s not really an order. Think of it as more like a threat.
Azerbaijan did it
They’ve given the World a new F1-venue to compensate
Agreed that Israel has no right to give the order here. As others have already commented, it’s more of a threat than official orders.
That said, in general legitimate evacuation orders have been given by foreigners before. E.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunkirk_evacuation French soldiers were ordered to evacuate by the British officer in charge.
