There’s a high amount of friction to get people to join the Fediverse. I had to put in more effort than I’d like to figure out how things worked.

My biggest worry was picking the wrong Mastodon instance and then having no easy way to migrate my stuff to another server. Even after you pick your instance, there’s so much setup for things that you kinda just expect to work.

It’s a retaliatory tactic. If the US is reducing the incentive to do trade with Mexico, why should Mexico continue to allow trade with the US without penalty?

The US isn’t in the same economic position as it was 10-20 years ago, and countries have seen the crappy tactics Trump used last time he was in office. I’m sure they’re more willing to respond in kind or even cut ties this time if their relationships becomes more abusive.

You know I was happy with my life not making that connection. Truly tarnished.

Still need to apply for a green card from the Federal government. Marriage certificates from State/local governments are not sufficient on their own. You’re basically trying to prove that the marriage is legit.

He’s right – the better super hero movies have themes underlying them that are allowed to be explored. If story points are rushed or half-assed, then you get a bad movie.
