Meanwhile, JD Vance tricked kids into watching a video in his basement about how to report your parents to the post-Project 2025 government if they think their parents might be using IVF to have another child.

Lol I genuinely don't know what's truth and what's a meme anymore when it comes to this guy. I don't really care anyway, just kinda wild.

[–] mx_smith@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

Just kinda weird.

You mean he took kids to his sofa-celler?

[–] Tja@programming.dev 14 points 3 months ago

JD Vance puts his skillet in the dishwasher.

That may be the most well lit house I've ever seen in my life. That damn place looks like a library or a business or something.

He was the governor of Minnesota in 2019, this is the Governor's Residence.

Ah, well... That makes a lot of sense...

I guess they got tired of creepers spawning and ruining the place.

True Americans give out full-sized candy bars on Halloween, full-sized candy canes at Christmas, and chocolate bunnies that are not hollow on the inside at Easter.

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.world 41 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Those bunnies are really fucking hard to find though. I forgive when people give me hollow chocolate bunnies, it's what Obi-Wan would want

[–] TheMinions@lemmy.world 19 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Am I the only one who prefers hollow bunnies? I’m not a huge chocolate fan, so a solid chocolate bunny is just way too much chocolate.

Obi-Wan wants solid Easter Bunnies chocolates, but will still be happy with hollow ones.

I was concerned that the house looked too fancy and maybe Walz is rich, but it turns out that it's a Governor's House and thus a state-owned property that he's allowed to live in. He's actually no longer living there, and now renting a home. His net worth is estimated to be around $150k.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Wow that's less than my net worth, if you count pokemon cards.

When I was a kid this was the picture we were used to see from the states in movies. Hope it goes back to that asap.

Full size candy bars are literally the only alternative to full blown fascism

Walz is a great guy all around and it's really motivating as a voter to see him up there.

Not only is he a fantastic politician in regards to how he interacts with his constituents but he's incredibly liberal in regards to our countries politics. I feel like he's going to be a huge turning point for a lot of people, changing voting from "Can't let Trump get in" to "Maybe this country can actually improve."
