IIRC there were builds in 3e D&D that could crit on something insane like 11 or 12.

Ooh too bad the AC is 18, that's a miss.

Not even a +1 bonus from proficiency or str/dex? You should really get another weapon

I rolled my stats and got 6 4s...

Any jokes about dice rolls always takes me back to a classic, Bad Dice.

I rolled 36 damage, but fudged my to hit roll and shot my crewmate in the foot instead.

I immediately had a flashback to that sci-fi oneshot that Ashley Johnson ran over on Critical Role.

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 1 year ago

Thanks. I rolled 3 damage, but I was only trying to talk to someone...

All my stats are low-tier NPC level and I get critical misses on a regular basis.

My life: My d20 is just 1-10 twice, with no way to color in any of them to tell them apart

Look at this fat cat over here with double digits on his dice. My best is like a 2.6.

I get the sentiment but it's hard to have a good roll with a large negative modifier like many people have.

[–] Stamets@startrek.website 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Trust me. I'm aware. This is more of a fake it until god please let me make it type situation.

If "make it" means have value and be worthy then congratulations, my friend:
You made it!

[–] Stamets@startrek.website 4 points 1 year ago

Make it in this case means more "being happy" or even just "being ok"

That 1d20 is my damage roll. 💪
