I feel like it's not as close as the news wants us to think.

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Wouldn't, uh, put my money on that one

[–] slumlordthanatos@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

I wouldn't either, because far too much is at stake, but anyone who takes our polling at face value is a fool.

I'm not worried about who's going to win, I'm worried about the ratfuckery that is going to happen to try to swing the result.

What would you put your money on?

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Butt-clenching. All my money on butt-clenching

[–] NineMileTower@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Don't think for a second that my b-hole couldn't turn coal into diamond.

You're implying that one candidate has a super secret big lead not reflected in polling.

Who? And why do you think that?

[–] NineMileTower@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Yeah, I feel as if Kamala supporters are less likely to answer polls and that was accounted for improperly. Also, the news media profits off a close race.

[–] ironsoap@lemmy.one 4 points 1 week ago

Actually apparently it's the other way. Conservatives are less likely to answer polls. Pollsters have been trying to account for it, but polling has become a very dynamic challenge.
