Sorry, I must be talking about a different country. In the USA, I don’t think anyone ever claimed the left was the backbone of the democratic party
Is this you seething because Dems are trying to end subminimum wage or something?
Yes, whoever you relied to doesn’t actually know much about recruiting
Perfect is the enemy of good
Or you’re just a right wing shill… probably that
The min wage last went up under Dems. Yes, worker rights have expanded under Dems. Yes, Dems kneecapped themselves by taking a public option out of the ACA but at least they got super close, unlike the GOP, whose best claim to policy change on healthcare was that dramatic moment when McCain stopped them from repealing the ACA.
One party wants granny to die from pre-existing conditions, the other isn’t quite left enough for you.
Just calling up a company isn’t networking
Network more until you meet someone who has an opening
Not reading this spam. You posted a link to an Imgur post that’s 7 months old. Your account is 1 day old. Weird trolling
Have you heard of the manosphere?
It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Network
For every 200 applications you submit, you’re putting in as much energy as you could with one quality lead where you know someone. You gotta leverage connections, do informational interviews, etc. The reality is that a lot of job postings for skilled positions are put out there because the employer has to do it. They already know who they want.
Most simple tools, I’d always recommend HF (hand tools, basic power tools, etc). If it doesn’t have electricity, I’ve never had an issue with their tools. They’ve also made aggressive upmarket shifts lately (past 5 years), which has introduced some higher end lines that seem pretty well made from what I’ve heard.
Find me something that health officials say is unsafe above a specific ppm. Then find one that doesn’t have terrible effects like IQ loss when you have 10-100x that level in your water (which, to be clear, is veeeeery few people in this case)
The system that Josh Dobbs had to learn in 2 days and still won a game?
We never had 0 inches of precipitation in October in Philly since record keeping began. Not only did we do that, but we didn’t get any rain until last week
I’d probably go circular saw with guide if you need a straight cut. Honestly, I rarely make curved cuts so I use a circular saw more than a jigsaw.
Glad I’m not the only one repping Harbor Freight in this thread lol
In addition to the torque wrench, a breaker bar is helpful. You didn’t mention it but Allen wrenches are vital.
Also, all hail Harbor Freight. Great place to get cheap tools. If you don’t think you’ll use a power tool more than once a year, they have some great cheap shit too. They do have higher end power tools, but they have frequent sales so I would wait for one of those.
Otherwise, other tool choices come down to the type of work you’ll be doing. I do more wood stuff personally, but you sound more like a metal guy
Quoting the Lemmy ToS is not trolling
