  • I think that’s certainly part of it. Imo, it’s a few things more also, not that you said it wasn’t anything else too:

Included in what you said, voter suppression. People being bombarded into apathy, has really kicked up a notch. Its identifying who’s susceptible and spamming them like mad with things the data you have on them says will work specifically.

There’s a real core of people in every country thats incredibly easy to wind up with emotive narratives that have enough truthyness to override what might otherwise be sound critical judgment skills.

America’s real problem is that the direct line to those people and their data is owned by a very small group of very wealthy people. On top of that, you have interference from a country that seems to some how be even better than America at foreign election interference and they’re very pro trump.

That’s before you get to the Democrats who, even if they were or weren’t any good, have to sell their soul to the highest bidder just to come close to Republican election spending. The side who spends the most is always the side who wins and a democrat will only ever be given enough money to win if they compromise to an extent that they’re, right or wrong, not different enough for a lot of Americans.

My country’s greatest export is class subjugation. America’s is the manufacture of consent. America was amazing at it even before social media etc. which would be a dictators dream. Now, I’m not saying the people with all the power are as bad as bad as stalin or anything like that. But, with something like that at your disposal, you wouldn’t have to be.

TLDR: America is the ever evolving blueprint to how consent will be manufactured around the world.

  • Your viking analogy is bizzare. Not that many people know that vikings didn’t actually wear anything like that in battle, unlike how everyone knows Jesus was a homeless middle Eastern man and, depsite this, continue to draw him as northern European. More so, vikings are known for wearing those helmets. Jesus isn’t known for being a white man. Why? Because Jesus wasn’t white man and isn’t know for it.

Youre really starting from where you want to end up and working your way back. Theres no cogent justification for it, as much I enjoy people trying to sell me an appeal to tradition, with extra steps.

You would have to define how you’re using “have to” here. I mean, I wouldn’t try to come and attack you for neither agreeing not disagreeing with a subject you still managed to have such strong a need to inject in.

Partly because you might be bigger than me but mostly because I generally only see doing that as soemthing I strongly frown upon, in even the most severe of cases. I’m not particularly keen on forcing people to do anything, in fact.

Really, though only you can answer that question.

I’m glad we agree that our lives are probably better now than they for the people who literally had to live in caves, thousands of years ago, though. Thank you for including that important point.

Lol, its not that I didn’t understand or that I missed it. It’s that I disagree that its a cogent reason.

When I was young, I used to draw pictures of people with stick bodies and round heads. They were also often bright or powder pink in colour. I propagated the shit out of that too.

Then, when I found out that wasn’t the correct way to draw people or the natural colour of human skin, I stopped drawing them and colouring quite so comedically ridiculous.

Why can’t the people who draw Jesus manage this?
