I made the switch recently too. It’s really smooth.
If you get into customizing/ricing, you should check out the Open Bar extension. I’ve been playing around with it for a few days, and it does so much that I was looking for.

It’s the temporary movement upward or downward that causes big feelings.
It’s why it’s important to fight the urge to chase short term impulses or dwell on short term failures. You want to build long-term, steady sources of joy in your life.

English20·3 days agoThere’s a really small credit at the bottom from 1998, and I found some more from the same photoshoot just now. It looks like people have tried to find the source of this before, but I’m not seeing any answer as to WHY, lol

A couple of weeks in, and I’m probably exactly where my chosen distro (Pop OS) is.

Yeah, I can be pretty frugal with game purchases and will often wait for sales, but this one I didn’t even have to think about. They’re going to sell a bazillion copies at this price.

I just googled the difference when I was researching distros and chose GNOME because it looked more Mac-like, which is my preference.
The Picard Maneuver@piefed.worldOPto People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•People like to create thingsEnglish1·7 days agoSometimes finding the right thing, on a day that you have the right energy and focus, is the hard part. A lot of people face something similar when they enter retirement.
The Picard Maneuver@piefed.worldOPto People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•People like to create thingsEnglish17·7 days agoI’ve never considered myself an artistic person, but many years ago I was laid off and had a few months of time to fill, and in a surprise to myself, I started making pixel art animations and absolutely loved it. It fulfilled some sort of latent creative need that I didn’t realize was there until I had the time.
I think many of us would be surprised at what parts of our personalities come out when not suppressed by the daily grind.

I installed Pop OS on some old hardware “just to see what it’s like” 2 weeks ago and am already planning to switch my primary over by this weekend. If I can be done with Windows, I’ll be a happy man.
