I agree with your entire premise on the usefulness of remote start for cold winters. I live in Canada, though I do not have remote start.

All that being said, I think it’s wild that you accuse others of lacking “social skills” while calling everyone “brain damaged” because they didn’t immediately agree with you.

The first time I got a password manager I set everything I could to 128. Can’t believe how many sites allowed me to do that… the first time I had to actually type one out I learned my lesson.

I agree that this image is not an easy one to see. Try this one (make sure it’s full screen, that makes it easier for me, and start by keeping it physically close to your eyes)

Wouldn’t your wife have a hard time closing it manually too then?

Not really no, it sounds logical and fairly simple.

If it’s your server, then yes you should have responsibility with how you deal with said content.

I started the video here: https://lemmy.ml/post/11425289

While the video was playing, I locked my device. Now, on the Lock Screen the video appears as seen in my screenshot.

If you just use a YouTube link, it won’t happen.

For some videos, if I lock my phone during playback, they will appear on my Lock Screen to be able to resume playback, this seems normal enough… but even after closer Voyager (I am using the native app), the video remains on the Lock Screen.

Is there a way to stop that?

Hi,

New user to Thunder… having started with wefwef before it became Voyager, then Memmy, and some dabbling with Avelon, Lemmyios, and Bean… I can confidently say that Thunder is the best app for iOS.

I have a couple small suggestions / requests when viewing images.

One is to be able to make the controls which overlay the image disappear, either by tapping the image, or some other way.

My other suggestion is to increase the max zoom level… I was on a post yesterday where other users were commenting about a phone number on a sign, I couldn’t read it at max zoom despite the image being high resolution, so I could tell that further zoom would’ve worked.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Would love to see some widescreen support implemented. Mainly, accounting for the notch (see my screenshot for what the notch currently blocks from view) and just having images display horizontally when holding your phone that way. Currently, rotating to landscape just keeps the image vertical with tons of wasted space.

Memmy already has the feature to tap the top title bar to scroll all the way to the top. What would be nice, something Apollo had, would be the ability to go back to where you scrolled from, if you simply tap again. This is a huge life saver for the inevitable times where you’ve accidentally tapped the top, and therefore lost where you were in the feed/comments.

If you highlight text, then click on Italics or Bold, it works great, adding the asterisks at both ends of the highlighted text.

However, if you just click on Italics without highlighting text, it spits out two asterisks but does not move the cursor between them, which is required to actually make the text you type properly italicized.

I think it would make more sense to put the cursor in between the markup when no txt has been highlighted.
