Weil er politisch gefährlich ist. Unser Job, in der Mitte nach rechts dafür zu sorgen, dass wir demokratische Verhältnisse haben, ist schon schwer genug. Das lastet am schwersten nicht auf einem Bundestagsabgeordneten oder einem Landesminister, sondern auf einem Ortschafts- oder Gemeinderat. Ich kann den Beitrag von links dazu gerade nicht sehen, wirklich gar keinen. Und ich würde begrüßen, wenn sie wenigstens die Klappe halten würden. Mit der Brandmauer wird von linker Seite permanent versucht, uns zu unterstellen, es gäbe Neigungen in Richtung AfD. Ständig. Das vergiftet unglaublich.

CDU Innenminister von Sachsen neulich im Interview mit der taz:

Dass die politische linke uns ständig Nähe zur AfD unterstellt ist so scheisse. Die helfen dagegen gar nicht und es ist wegen der AfD schon sehr anstrengenden konservativ zu sein weil man sich ständig von völkischen Ideologien abgrenzen muss. Dann könnten die linken wenigstens mal aufhören Salz in unsere Wunden zu streuen :(

While I guess that's true and it's often surprising that the AfD is polling that well in the younger cohorts let's not overstate their success. There are also a lot of people in that cohort very vehemently disagreeing with the AfD.

That is such a bullshit point. "The youth" doesn't want one homogeneous thing. The youth is just as diverse in opinions as other cohorts, maybe even more so. It is also more likely to be on more radikal Sides of the political spectrum.

Look Up NSO group for an example of an Israeli based company making their money with exploits. Their most famous product is Pegasus. It's a zero click remote trojan for iPhones and android devices. It's probably different from what was used here but I wouldn't be surprised if other technology in this sector comes from the same region.
