You're like the only other person I've seen on Lemmy who is sad about the death of Twitter. I was pretty active 2010-2015 and met a lot of local friends through it. My timeline was perfectly curated... No sports, politics, or memes. Just an endless stream of people trying to fit a n original joke into 140 characters.
Anyway, that doesn't add much to the conversation. I just wanted to say I empathize with your feelings. It was a great site until it wasn't.
I'm old now. I don't like new things anymore. /s I met my wife on Myspace....oh those were the days.
