What’s everyone doing this weekend? I am (hopefully) relaxing and getting some overdue filing done. I used to be an avid knitter and stopped two years ago… it just didn’t bring me joy. Last weekend I tried it again and I don’t know why I quit. It’s also something to do to pass time that is productive. Drinking to pass time away is what I did a year ago. No more. It’s a hard cycle to break but if I can do it, you can too! 💜

Day 8! It’s wild waking up early (for me) on a Saturday with no hangover or brain fog. Holy shit, my house is kinda nice when it’s quiet like this.

Got lots of chores planned for today, then either a night of D&D where I will finally remember the story afterwards, or more BG3, depends on my friends really!

We can do a Sober Saturday yall! We got this! IWNDWYT!

Haha I’m not too far behind you as an older Millenial. I’ve just always been hella nerdy 😂. BG3 is the first video game that has hooked my interest in the past few years, so I’ve been latched onto it.

Are you working on anything in particular with your knitting? I’ve always been very curious about the hobby as a sort of quiet, anxiety-reducing calm habit while I watch the Real Housewives (which I realize is the opposite of calm and quiet, but I’m hooked).

I’m finishing a hat for my friend and started a scarf for my niece. But to knit something while watching TV it’s best to stick with a pattern that is simple cause you can get sucked into the show and lose track of that you are doing. 🤣. And lord drunk knitting is the worst. I’d sit down in the afternoon, pick up where I left off the night before and WTF? Errors everywhere, irregular stitches. I’d have to undo and redo.

Haha I can imagine that. The brain fogged exhausted frustration when you want to sit down and continue a hobby just to realize that you created so much more work for yourself.

But a knitted hat and a scarf sounds so nice for this time of year depending on where you’re located. They’re gonna be heckin’ appreciative!
