minus-squareTar_Alcaran@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up14·10 months agoThey lasted till 1996 though. You can be a millenial who was 15 when the Ramones broke up.
minus-squaresnowe@programming.devlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·10 months agoDoesn’t mean you listened to them, or knew their song names, or liked them even one tiny bit.

minus-squareJJROKCZ@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up7·10 months agoI’m a millennial and have listened to the ramones my entire life, they aren’t exactly irrelevant to my generation. Punk is forever!
minus-squarehardcoreufo@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·10 months agoI am a millennial and all the alt rock radio stations by me played this song in the 90s/ 2000s.
minus-squarevxx@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·edit-210 months agoDid the radio also show you how the bandmembers look like?
minus-squarepimento64@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkarrow-up19arrow-down4·10 months agoTo be fair, being aware of the Ramones doesn’t mean you’re going to like their music. In my experience the opposite is the more likely reaction.
minus-squareDrusas@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up8arrow-down1·10 months agoI like the song, but it was pre-millennial and millennials aren’t exactly young anymore.
minus-squareclearedtoland@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·10 months agoBeyonce. Rihanna (reminds me of rhinitis). Dua Lipa. BTS. I shit on modern music sounding all the same but I somehow (subconsciously) picked very different sounds.
minus-squareEvilsmiley@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up8·edit-210 months agoIt’s just because history only remebers the good songs and artists. The 70’s and 80’s were full of derivative crap too but most of it got forgotten. Theres also just more artists nowadays, so the repetitive shit is more prevalent
minus-squareFlying Squid@lemmy.worldOPMlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·10 months agoI only learned the name ‘Doja Cat’ yesterday and thought it would be fun to use it since I had an opportunity…
