Just a random liberal dropping by to say “Hi” and check out this community.

I just want to applaud You all for having thick skin; I was looking at all the different posts, and sooo many had sooo many down votes.

Downvotes bug the fuck out of me. How do You all deal with it so well ? Any tips / advice ?

Thx 🙏😊

And how, in the context of this thread, is the left being intolerant? The correct and obvious answer that you believe is through downvotes.

Theroux literally said we are not welcome here. Then you decided to discuss down votes. Which were not mentioned in this thread until you mentioned them.

Ultimately we are both have been engaging in discourse extensively and this point. I believe that shows we both care about downvotes.

In this thread you were the one who brought up down votes, keeps discussing down votes, and keeps obsessing over down votes. I have been discussing liberal intolerance and fragility to opposing opinions. Which post did I make where lamented the fact that I get downvoted because I hurt some liberals feelings?

Bruh, OP’s post is about how conservatives have thick skin and cudos to them even though they almost all get downvoted. Then OP asks why that would be.

Theroux then says that the likely reason you are downvoted is because you aren’t welcome here. Now why would someone say that? Probably because they strongly disagree with you on xyz topics.

So just as I explained, downvotes are used to show that you disagree/disprove/dislike a particular conversation.

So again to summarize, I believe that yet again you are acting in bad faith by saying that I’m the one that brought up downvotes. Read OPs post and you’ll see they did several times. Theroux responded to OP as to why posts may be getting downvoted. I am attempting to explain why downvotes aren’t a big deal. Do you see that progression in conversation? I have a feeling you’re stuck on Theroux being unwelcome and my response is: big deal. How dare they give you basically the thumbs down in disapproval.

I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever had to spell something out that is this simple before. I’m starting to understand why people aren’t interested in engaging in conversation and instead just up/down vote.

Theroux comment the one I responded to had no mention of down votes. It wasn’t until you replied that it was mentioned. The whole time I’ve been discussing liberal intolerance, and you keep bringing up down votes. I get it they are important to you.

Upvotes and downvotes are very important to liberals. It’s how they define themselves.

Conservatives define themselves by their values.

Liberals by the number of upvotes or downvotes. It’s why they don’t like conversations but quips like Eat the right, form a union, statements that mean nothing, don’t change the world but will get them upvotes which they can show their parents to show how liked and witty they are.

As they put the fries in the bag, they can feel like that upvote stopped tyranny for one more day.
