Are you good at concentrating your attention? Of course you are. That’s something that people with ADHD, Aspergers etc can do better than anybody else.

Concentration is a magic power. Attention is the axis of reality. Yes.

That’s a power that you have naturally. You can do it better than everybody else. And with practice you can get even better. There is no limit.

There were groups of people who dedicated their whole life to seeing how deep they could go with concentration. (and there are other things that you can do with your attention too. Things that are even better than concentration.)

For lack of a better term let’s call these people “wizards”.

Their preferred recruits were people with ADHD, Aspergers etc.

Because people with ADHD, Aspergers etc are very good at concentrating their attention.

I’ve thought of it like that before.

But it’s like when I think about politics and human progression or regression in society. There’re a lot of ideological ways to ‘fix’ the world in theory, but if one were to make those ideas plausible reality would have to be completely different. Ime it’s hopeless to have that mindset, it’s a set up for failure and negative social dissonance. But even though I know that… I still find myself doing it.

I can think of great things but at the end of the day it doesn’t change the world or help me.

Wishful thinking is sometimes better in small doses?

Sorry I’m probably way off track. 🫠

Have you tried going deeper with concentration? I have.

      I am impressed, obviously.

Merely “thinking about it like that” won’t show you what’s there. You have to actually do it.

Consider what concentration has done for you. What it’s done for our culture.

      It can go further.
