Never stopped masking, thanks. I would say I’m glad to be vindicated, but no, this is terrible actually.
Same here. I just got it for the first time few weeks ago due to one unmasked exposure in a car which was supposed to be safe. It was bad, really bad. Didn’t get into the hospital but it was easily the worst sickness in recent memory. Still have some runny nose weeks later.
Masking is completely gone where i live. I got the flu last month sland unfortunately had to go to the pharmacy and do some groceries, so i put on a mask. Holy shit the looks i got and people being so nice to tell me that i don’t need a mask was insane.
I always like to pull my mask down and cough, and say “phew thanks, this mask is hard to breathe in with COVID”
Now i have to do a little rant. What is the deal with old people coughing and sneezing around like assholes? I know it’s not just them, but they go hard. I went Christmas shopping with my girlfriend and we saw an old guy dashing inside a store just to cough his lungs out. An old lady was looking at some stuff and she turned around and coughed in some guys face. The guy in front of me in the line bend over and coughed like a motherfucker on the conveyor belt, so much so that the lady had to stop it to clean it. And the guy didn’t think it’s fucking disgusting, he was seemingly more annoyed that the belt wasn’t moving. I only started to realise that during covid when old people literally pulled down their mask to cough around. These people were all around my parents age or 10 years older, and i learned to not do that. Guess what, my dad does the same thing. Once i picked him up, he got into the car and before even saying anything, he would just sneeze in my car 3 times without covering anything.
Every time I start getting lazy about masking, I get sick, so I’m just going to keep masking.
Have been masking since early 2020, haven’t been sick with any contagious illness in 4 years. Infection is preventable, not inevitable, and I’ll never willingly expose myself to it again. Sucks people were convinced otherwise, would be nice to not have overwhelmed health systems (not that it’s new, definitely worse now though).
I live in South Bay, masks are quite rare. Most of the time it’s just me. I wonder if healthcare professionals feel like they’re just saying “here’s the smart thing to do, go ahead and ignore it”
There are effective vaccines for all three. Apparently not enough people are getting them.
The RSV one is not easy to get still. The other two are though.

Yes RSV access is limited. Everyone with ACA compliant health insurance can get flu and covid vaccines at no cost.
for people without insurance the covid vaccine is $120
Bullshit, get the fuck out of here with your misinformation.
