I love the word “creature” because it just sounds so much more mysterious and funny than a “cat”.
Like I got this wonderful weird creature inside my house, its so warm, so squishy, vibrates a weird sound (purring), it can fit in a backpack as a travel companion (like walk around the neighborhood, not long distance travel lol).
Its so soft and squishy, I must touch the belly (its not a trap, at least for the first few seconds of touching its free real estate).

“You know those creatures that run around and eat those mice? One of them came in my house.” “Did you chase it off?” “no” - first cat owner.
2 weeks later - “so yeah, he lives here now and sleeps in my bed”
