    Am I the only one who thinks a 15% upcharge over the EU might actually be reasonable considering the logistics challenges (lack of infrastructure, convoy hijacking, etc) on the African continent?

      Or the simple fact that they’re not in the EU? Exporting something is always going to have more associated costs than domestic consumption. One of the best things the EU does is reduce these costs as much as possible. It probably doesn’t add up to 15%, but of “capitalism’s great evils” this isn’t very high on the list.
