It was ignored and dismissed in all mainstream coverage of his death, and you are also dismissing it as a lie, with no specific evidence other than his apparently otherwise questionable character. I watched a documentary about the guy which turned out to be mostly about the bizarre lies he told. He was a fucking nutcase, devoid of reasons of ever consider believing his horseshit.
