Either real madrid signs him or he will have a year of rest and relaxation while making like a 100m.
I find it hard to believe he'd be paid not to play.
well OP above assumed he would be threatened/punished with being benched, I am responding to that scenario, aka he would just not play for a year.
I don't think they will bench him, but they also won't manage to sell him.
They could just load him into a mass driver and fire him into the Sun. But nooooooooo murder's illegal...
