I tried to find out how DAP identifies users and I think it’s based on device fingerprinting rather than IP address. So, I think, if you were to use two separate linux devices to access a .gov site using DAP it would register as two separate users. I don’t believe frequency of use matters.
You don’t necessarily have to make yourself look good if you make the other guy look worse.
Frankly, needing to visualise books seems more like a handicap to me.
For me, it’s a balancing act which depends on book I’m reading. Sometimes, depending on the book/passage/etc, authors like to write in a visually evocative where being able to picture the environment feels important.
Other times, the emotion or sensation is much more important so the world is described in far less detail.
It’s to manage cd-keys for my physical games.
I want it to work offline as I don’t want to connect my XP machines to the internet.
Thanks heaps for the idea. I could definitely do it on Linux via a script and it looks like XP has findstr.
It shouldn’t require parsing text files intelligently either. If each line is [Game Name] - [CD-Key], it can just spit the whole line out.
I’m using OnlyOffice bins on linux and find it to be a fantastic suite for my (minimal) uses. Not sure how it works on Windows though.
My girlfriends laptop came with S mode and holy shit, I just about threw it out the window. I knew Windows 11 would be dogshit but when I couldn’t run firefoxinstaller.exe I got so annoyed. I then spent ~30 minutes troubleshooting how to allow running fucking exes as the guides were all out of date, including the one that were a month old.
I’ve been using Linux and XP for a few years now and god damn does it feel gross to use Win11. Not having control over your own PC is disgusting.
