I’ve always used the Steam Deck Essentials (All Handhelds) mod. It’s playable everywhere I’ve been. I can’t remember exactly but it’s maybe 25-30 fps in Akila. It stays at 40 fps in a lot of places. Just don’t expect HD graphics, but at least I’m not tied to my computer at the desk.

I’ve only had 1 crash in several weeks on the Steam Deck.

It needs an option to turn off the commentary. I can’t stand it.

Always keep a live usb handy to chroot and fix stuff.

Seems like most of these options involve running a web server. I rather just stick with the Android app that I can run on my phone and Chromecast.

The new one I bought recently can download apps and comes with a remote. It also has a remote in Google Home. The old one has no physical remote or in Google Home.
