On instances that do not use downvotes they aren't counted when viewed from that instance.

I hope this sentiment never stops someone from uploading a textbook without OCR. Once it's scanned it can always be OCRed at a later time.

This "you can't Forward your own ports" shit needs to be made illegal. It's cutting off your ability to run your own service and making everyone a passive consumer on the Internet if you aren't one of the big tech companies.

Is it a linux box, and if so would you be able to ssh into this box? You could rename them that way right?

That's what I thought, the fascists were bad because not enough "individualism". Example # 35023 of liberals having zero defenses against fascism.

Being a Nazi is when you're just romping around in a designer uniform being disciplined or whatever and then suddenly fuhrer says it's time for a genocide or two. what

(Full disclosure I only watched the first half, maybe it redeems itself in the second half I don't know)

At a certain point if you aren't at least looking at alternatives to running windows you have no self respect.

I've seen said (but have not investigated whatsoever so please take this with a grain of salt) that although it was criminalized it was rarely enforced because there was a duty to demonstrate the social harm of a specific action and that was rarely "met" in court or something to that effect. Is there any truth in this or is it just cope?

Just download it and use the loop function on your media player program of choice?

Can't believe Nintendo didn't make these for the switch angery you could have had one on each side it's so perfect.

The way people talk about it makes it sound indistinguishable from "random will". If you believe in the existence of a "self" in any form, be it the chemical signals and electrical impulses in your material brain, or a ghost existing outside of space and time controlling your body like a puppeteer, you must believe in one of you believe in that self having free will.

Say you were to run a scenario many times on the same person, perfectly resetting every single measurable thing including that person's memory. If you observe them doing the same thing each time then they don't have this quality of free will? But if you do different things each time are you really "yourself"? How are your choices changed in a way that preserves an idea of a "self" and isn't just a dice roll? Doesn't that put an idea of free will in contradiction with itself?

Edit: I found this article that says what I was trying to say in much gooder words

I'm holding on for a to-fu 'til the end of the night~

Not some bland soybean curd.
One made with spices and herbs,
and it must be firm to the bite!
