Transformers The Movie (1986). I still get teary eyed when Optimus Prime dies.

Looks like they’re in there UK for the rest of the year. They tour pretty often, so you’ll definitely get a chance. They used to come to the Boston area twice a year for like 5+ years. Amazing every time.
If you ever get a chance to see them live, do it. Dick Valentine (the singer) is super nice and puts on an amazing show. They travel all over and usually play at small venues, so tickets are reasonably priced.
I keep telling my coworkers this: It’s always DNS, even when it’s not.
My boss has since pinned that in our teams channel.
We have been very lucky and fortunate to acquire the American dream. My wife and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help of her family though. Every time I look at the housing market it’s only gotten crazier.
I didn’t go, I didn’t see the point in it. People always ask if I regret not going: not even a little bit. I don’t like dancing and thought the entire idea of it dumb to begin with. Also, I’d rather not go broke over one night like that. I did have a few friends go and they said they had fun, good for them. It’s just not my thing.
My wife and I were lucky enough to be able to purchase a home at a decent rate and then refinance a few years later to an even better rate (around 3.5%). We bought in 2019, when the world was still somewhat sane. The thought of trying to sell and get a new home at the higher rate makes me sick to my stomach and I feel bad for my brother-in-law.
Probably a good thing I never heard back from them for my interview.
Frankly, I thought he did an unexpected rocket punch.
Depends on my laziness. I just bought parts for my new rig on Newegg. I was going to do microcenter, but they didn’t have everything I wanted.
The last straw for me was no more free returns. I cancelled my prime but it doesn’t expire for a few months. A buddy of mine is doing the same. It’s no longer worth it.
I’m planning on building a new rig for Xmas and am gonna go Linux for my desktop OS for the first time.
I was working on one of my users desktops (adding RAM). The machine wasn’t recognizing all of it. I eventually cave and call tech support. Their solution was to not use all of the RAM slots. I called up the next day and got a competent person to replace the board, but pretty much all calls were like that.
I worked with HP once at an internship like 15 years ago…I still avoid them because of the shitty experience.
It’s a shame that Alexi Laiho passed away. He was an amazing guitarist. So glad I got to see him live.
I switched to US Mobile last year. I had a rough month or two with data not working properly, but it’s smooth sailing now for $20/month for 5GB of data.
Weed/drugs. You do you, but shut the fuck up about it. I don’t need to know why you think it needs to be legalized and all of the “health” benefits it offers. Just smoke your weed and be happy about it.
Me, an adult pushing 40, still can’t beat that section.
I remember news stories when the movie came out; parents were taking their kids to the movie because they didn’t understand what it was about. I thought the R rating would have been enough.
I’m in DevOps, so anyone not in tech has no idea what I do/what that means. So, I end up just saying “I work in IT”.
My new doctor didn’t like that answer when we were making small talk and wanted a more detailed answer, so I tell him. He looks at his nurse and says: did any of that make sense?
