100%! I should have mentioned, but Horn of the Abyss comes with the HD mod as well.

Absolute masterpiece.
Also, for any HOMM3 fans who were unaware, GOG also lets you download Horn of the Abyss, a fantastic fan-made expansion that adds a lot of content, working multiplayer lobbies, and a lot of QoL enhancements (simultaneous turns until a player attacks another player, quick combat to bypass trivial fights, enhanced menus, etc).
Real talk, you can’t. Or at least there is no “nurotypicals hate this one simple trick” solution.
Your real best bet is to talk to your supervisor about how you do your best work when you don’t need to socialize. And as such would prefer to either work from home, or be moved to a workspace away from high traffic areas.
Wait… “Getting back into…”?!
I got a bad habit of not reading titles on posts, and when I saw this my first thought was “Fuck that’s cool!”. Updooted and moved on. But on a second pass, imagine my surprise when this was your version of “getting back into”.
I’m not qualified to give advice, but needed to stop by and give compliments. Great work!
Yeah, sure, but that’s exactly the point, the group is trying to dictate my free speech based on what they considered offensive. And not even for something significant like promoting violence or hate speech, just over the placement of an *. So I don’t really care if saying f*ck is ridiculous, nor do I care if saying fuck is considered unnecessary, nor any of the other litany of ways people try to control the free speech of others.
I get that this is a very unpopular opinion on Lemmy, but honestly I don’t give a f*ck.
Fwiw, as a fellow long time listener to ASMR and fan of good headphones, I think you’re cool!
It’s a joke about you being a hipster since you hopped on ASMR “before it was cool”.
The full joke goes “Why did the Hipster burn his tongue? He ate his pizza before it was cool.”
I’ll grant that it’s contrarianism for its own sake. But I would disagree with the comparison.
The core value of expressing myself how I choose is being upheld by my (albeit asinine) contrarianism.
The core values of Punks on the other hand can not be boiled down to simple contrarianism or an “anti-mainstream” ideology. And frankly the “anti-woke” Conservative movement is damn near the polar opposite of Punk values. So co-opting the term “Punk” just to make Conservatism sound rebellious/edgy/cool undermines the point of both world views.
Also, being “anti-woke” sucks @$$, while not letting people tell me how to talk F*#ks hard.
100% agree.
I just have a chip on my shoulder about being made to speak in any particular way. So since I’m on Lemmy…
The reactions people on the internet have make me laugh.
Used to be that swearing asserted my right to free self expression. But now I live in bizzaro world, where self-censoring is considered “uncouth behavior”, so I occasionally enjoy censoring my swears just to reassert my right to free self expression.
The fact the people get upset about it is kind of hilarious.
a minor waste of time
Why are people always asking me to play trivia with food. Come on man, can’t I just have some?
Tell you what, you guess how much I want. If you said a handful, you are correct.
