Climate optimism is just cope of the highest order. Some people will repeat the idea that ‘we need significant, global mobilization comparable to a world war to minimize climate change’ and then also assure you that these ‘little wins’ should instill optimism in you. I ordered my Steam Deck through Dick Smith (Kogan.) I have no complaints. I had to use the warranty about two weeks after I received it due to bad pixels. I had a new Steam Deck within a week. They won’t repair it because they can’t, only replace it. Good enough for me.

Apart from the price we have a pretty good deal - our warranty covers a lot more defects that Valve themselves won’t.

The game is in a pretty rough state. I’m surprised 1.0 is coming. I guess it’ll be a lot like it’s predecessor, and be perpetually janky but still fun.

Back in the day I used to waste time after school making levels in hammer or the creation kit, but otherwise the most modding I can do is like, swapping textures and stuff.

Now installing mods is my weakness. Can’t get enough of that.

Yeah AI is incredibly cool and I wish I could get excited for an actual amazing advancement in technology instead of fearing it. I also got the same retort from support forums at the time, so my problem obviously wasn’t widespread.
