It’s running fine on mine. Taking it’s sweet time during large combat encounters, but pretty good besides that.
What proton are you using? Someone else said using experimental worked for them, which is easy to install and test. I’m using GE which is a bit harder to install but really does help get some broken games to work.
What’s crazy is the more I learn about 3.5, the more it seems perfect for a CRPG where the game is keeping track of everything for you and does the calculations in a split second.
I’m coming from more FO:NV where I’m used to skill checks, not random chance… So I’m scumming like crazy on my single player save.
On my multiplayer save we’re aiming for Chaotic Evil so we’re rolling with the punches.
It’s the same as hosting your own email server. Yes it’s “best practice” to host your own, but there’s updates, bug workarounds, certificates, etc etc that makes it easier to use someone else’s server. In the end it’s a personal choice.

They slow raiders, they can burn, and they’re cheap. Which is why they’re in the kill box. The same reasoning is probably why they’re around the perimeter with sections missing (guessing OP doesn’t have auto-repair turned on).
