Im sure youre right. My point is thats not even a niche topic. A quick Google estimates there are 21 million viewers PER GAME every week. There are literally hundreds of millions of fans of the nfl, but even a subject so popular can’t maintain a healthy community on lemmy, how are these niche topics supposed to stand a chance at survival?

I look at the nfl community here. It really only gets a handful of posts on Sunday and that’s it. It blows my mind that there isn’t more engagement

I know someone in corporate McDonalds. They were pissed the instant they found out. They have a saying internally, “were not red or blue, were golden.” They intentionally don’t take political stances. This franchise owner acted without corporate blessing, and if I had to guess, that message was intentionally not passed up the chain.

One of my coworkers is a story of a single bike accident. He was riding uphill on a road when his front fork broke. He went over the handle bars and head/face first into the ground. He had his helmet on, and was still knocked out. He was found in the drainage ditch on the side of the road after he was reported missing.

He has no long term damage today, but that certainly wouldn’t be the case if he wasn’t wearing a helmet

There are a lot of people who don’t realize that different workout regiments accomplish different things. They follow some shredded dude on insta who shares their workout, and they think if they do the same thing, they’ll look like them.

If you wanna be shredded and you’re over weight today, you have to slim down before you bulk up
