That is liberal identity politics which everyone hates. Real leftists like Sanders and AOC have never said anything like that.

German conservatives formed a majority coalition with the Nazis in 1932. Conservatives have always sided with fascism over socialism and always will.
Partly. The DNC forcing Harris to adopt conservative talking points / abandon the Tim Walz progressive policies was also a massive blow to her base. You can’t spend 8 years comparing Republicans to Nazis and then promise to put them on your cabinet and to continue their racist border policy. The DNC forced Harris to listen to donors over voters and this is the end result
Voting against fascism doesn’t make a person a liberal. Liberals suck, but fascists actually want us dead or in jail.
Cutting down the trees was out next biggest mistake. For example, the Europeans who colonized the US cut down 93% of the trees they found. They clear cut forests of giant oaks and blackwalnut trees. And we replaced all of that natural beauty with asphalt and endless urban sprawl.
But it seems when a company does the importing it doesn’t count for some reason?
If lobbying is legal in your country then political representation is literally for sale which allows the rich buy to special privileges.
He has potential, for sure, but putting the blame on one person was a massive whiff, especially when his own sources had spelled out the real problem multiple times:
"When Gomes pushed back on the multiple requests for growth, Fox added that all three of them were responsible for search, that search was “the revenue engine of the company,” and that bartering with the ads and finance teams was potentially “the new reality of their jobs.”
On February 6th 2019, Gomes said that he believed that search was “getting too close to the money,” and ended his email by saying that he was “concerned that growth is all that Google was thinking about.”
“Growth is all that Google was thinking about”. Companies prioritize quality and customer value when they are worker owned or trying to corner a market, but once they have a monopoly that goes out the window. Profit driven monopolies always end up cutting corners and abusing their customers. That is why anti-trust laws are so important and why it is so frustrating that we allow companies to bribe our politicians into eroding our anti-trust protections
A recent Factually! Podcast with Adam Conover interviewed a Political Science professor about why US politicians are so old and it came down to wealth. The boomer generation has more wealth and you need a shit load of wealth to jumpstart a political career so the US is stuck with older politicians because we are far closer to being an oligarchy or plutocracy than an actual democracy
Is it truly democracy if your only choice is between far right fascism and slightly less evil far right pro-genocide liberalism?
I hate fascism, but calling our two party system a democracy feels like a lie.
For now. But the whole world consumes US media which is allowing fascism to spread like a malignant cancer
Fellow millennial here and I’d say the common culture of the past that made us feel stupid for not knowing certain famous people is mostly dead. Society is so splintered in what media we consume that even my friends with very similar interests consume different games, movies, books, music, etc.
Elon calls himself “Dark-maga” which is pretty dorky. Dork-Maga is more accurate
“vote for my candidate or you’re a traitor”?
More like, vote against the conservative-fascist coalition if you don’t want the US destroyed. If you’re skeptical, we can open up any history book and read about how the German conservative-fascist ruling coalition of the 1930s turned out.
Disability accomodation requests are sent to the professor at the beginning of each semester so he would know which students use accessibility tools

Technically, if we had true AI, then yes, but the LLMs we have right now are build on an unbelievable amount of poverty wage labor. We’re talking sweat shops of Kenyans working for $2 an hour. As long as ChatGPT needs an army of wage slaves to function then I refuse to consider it a real AI
Why do we need to get rid of the job of human radio presenter?
Profit motive. When maximizing profit margins are the primary object of the economy, then workers are seen as an unfortunate expense. And so capitalists seek to employee as few workers as possible while also paying them as little as possible.
Real leftists would advocate for socialism.
True, but there are there differing approaches to socialism: MLs want authoritarian socialism (government runs everything), while Democratic Socialists usually want a hybrid of market socialism (co-ops) and government run socialism for needs that free market co-ops cannot address. And then there are libertarian socialists who want only worker owned co-ops and syndicates. Finally, we have SocDems that want indirect socialism where strong regulations and labor protections try to achieve socialist goals through capitalism.
Anyone else think it is super weird how exposing kids to violence is super normalized but parents freak out over nipples?
I feel like if anything should be taboo it should be violence.
I was forced to work a few 24+ hour shifts in healthcare and it fucked me up. It gave me migraines, vomiting, insomnia, manic depression and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.
It is beyond cruel and inhumane that employers can force people to work without sleep. It is so fucked that not allowing someone to sleep is considered a form of torture by the Geneva convention.
