Die Franzosen haben nur den Fehler gemacht, dass eine Woche 10 Tage hat. Wenn man nur 1 von 10 Tagen statt 1 von 7 Tagen frei hat, finden die Leute die Idee auf einmal nicht mehr so gut

13·3 days agoHow it works: I don’t know about this service in particular, but usually the shared contains the encryption key so like this: example.com/files/file_id/encryption_key or something similar
As for trust: This appears to be a individual, so you will have to just trust it when using the public instance. However, since it is FOSS, you can audit the code and spin up your own instance

Privacy wise it very much is still Firefox with different defaults (telemetry disabled, do not track enabled), the changes to upstream are mainly the UI and some performance enhancements
I looked at the rules and it says:

20·8 days agoThis is so true. There have been many occasions where I thought someone was using TikTok, but it was just another app that looked exactly the same (Instagram, LinkedIn, some guitar learning app etc)

1·9 days agoFor the OS, with the Android ones there are usually very few to no alternative options, mostly batocera (but you will have to wait a bit until a version for this one gets made). The CubeXX should handle up to ps1/n64, but you would need a device like this for ps2/gamecube. I personally don’t think it’s worth it as I mainly want to play N64/SNES/Arcade on a device like this, but I do have a steam deck which does up to switch so maybe you decide differently.
