Lostprophets were one of my favourite band during my formative years, and I still love the music, but any time I hear it now I can’t get past the fact that the singer was a literal baby rapist.

This seems solvable. There are differences in pitch between a nearby whisper and a distant shout.
Fucking spawn campers.
Russia has recruited many more troops since then. The proper way to interpret this information is that the majority of troops currently deployed in Ukraine were conscripted after the start of the war.
Would you rather slightly irregular steps, or a muddy slope with no steps at all?
I don’t know about you, but if I’ve driven an hour to go to a store and can’t park my ute directly in front of it, I turn straight around and go home again.
Dang, California is making a lot of real progress. Nice work.
Neat theory, but I dont think I buy in. When we have tools and packs to keep us safe from predators, and any old human can run down a gazelle by just jogging after them for an hour til they collapse from heat exhaustion, where is the evolutionary pressure to be a super-sprinter?
I think it’s time to start polluting the database with random DNA samples from discarded coffee cups amd random names from the electoral role. If we feed in enough junk then eventually they will hit on enough false positives to discredit the system.
It’s the newer Wi-Fi chips that have issues, those for which drivers aren’t yet released. There always seems to be a year-long delay between the next gen laptops being released and the wifi drivers for them.
Depends what you mean by wall hacking I guess. Shooting through a wall should not be possible by your proposed method, and it could be expanded to prevent the player moving through walls also.
Seeing through walls though is a different matter. How does the server know if I have rendered an opaque wall or not?
Personally I see anticheat as a problem to be solved socially, not technically. Just let people vote to kick, and anyone who is generally accepted to be hacking will be kicked. No need for invasive Spyware.
It is the industry standard in NZ. Often times the price isn’t high enough to justify transport costs and they are simply shot instead.
I think your “veal weight” is off by an order of magnitude. At four days old, when they are sent to the slaughterhouse, they weigh less than 40kg each, which equates to a ballpark of 10kg “veal” per calf.
Is there another option available though? When was the last time you saw a loaf of bread sold in anything other than a plastic bag?
While the consumer does bear responsibility in what theh choose to purchase, we cannot shift the blame for the entire product and it’s packaging onto them unless there are truly viable alternatives.
Put a recycling charge directly onto the manufacturer so that those with the ability to make real change are the ones bearing the cost of not doing so.
Unless you’re in a position to scale up majorly in the near future, and need systems in place for a hundred employees, don’t overthink it. Get yourself a second NAS for all of your critical data, and keep it airgapped from the rest of the network except for your weekly backups.
I’d look into using google for your email and calendar service also, as it has good integration between email and calendars, plus you can share calendars between people.
I’m a volunteer firefighter. When i first met my neighbour(an american who was previously in their army no less) he said “thank you for your service” upon learning this. I can confirm that I also felt awkward as fuck hearing that phrase.
“Lifetime of the car” means different things to manufacturers vs drivers. VW would have you believe that their transmissions are maintenace free and will not need to be serviced for the life of the car. They neglect to mention that they only expect the car to do 100,000km. They’re not exactly wrong, in that when the transmission starts to fail you’re probably going to write it off rather than drop 5k on a replacement valve body, but if you had serviced it every 60,000km or so, there’s no reason that transmission shouldn’t be good for 300,000.
I really find it hard to empathise with a company that outsources it’s manufacturing to China in order to exploit cheap labour and poor environmental protections. It feels like having your IP ripped off by the people you’re exploiting in order to save a buck is fair comeuppance.
It works for now, but the reason most wires have a rubber-like insulator around them is that it takes very little to Crack or abrade a thin coating such as this and turn it into a fire hazard.
I’m surprised a product with such a small safety margin is allowed for sale.
