Gonna watch the vid while doing my chores but I really don’t understand this take about idiocracy and eugenetics I’ve already encountered in the past. Idiocracy it’s not a movie about eugenetics, it has more to do with overthinking your life choices and avoiding the responsibilities of being a parent due to a lack of confidence in oneself while other people less prone to thinking in general go on with their lives leaving offsprings around without a care in the world.

The movies never state these people lacking the ability to think about the future should be barred from breeding, if anything its message is for the other side of society and it states “quit being worried about the future all the time and start following your instincts a bit more”. In medium stat virtus as the old saying goes.

Anyway I’ll be back with a more in depth commentary about the video once done with it. See ya

Just 12 euros for a set of “santini” with dedicated prayers on the back! Hurry up, stock is low and gullible people are abound!

He refused to be visited by a doctor designated by the sant’Uffizio because he knew he would have been found a con. He was reinstated by people living well beyond his time and unable to corroborate or contradict his statements so it bear no weight in defining whether his wounds were of divine origin or not.

When exumed from his tomb his body presented the normal state of decay a cadaver should be at after 40 years.

He was a con man who had the luck to be born when the catholic church needed a con man to recover a bit of the influence it was losing due to people better education and he was used by the church itself exactly for this scope.

The same goes for the three poor children who were taken advantage of by the church with their story about Mary appearance. So far all the profecies related to their tale have been proven unfounded, will there ever be a time when Christians will wake up from their fever dreams and start acting as normal humans in social environments? Only time will tell

Is cathopedia catholic enough for you?

You are as ignorant as adamant in your ignorance so I don’t think this will make any difference for your bigoted mindset but still it’s funny to see you squirm while trying to justify your position.

I used the popes version of the story just because they should be considered the highest authority by people like you. If they did decide something that should be the law for all Catholics or are you suggesting you have more authority than the popes who lived during padre Pio’s time?

Catholics do worship images, have you ever heard of so called “holy cards”? Italy is full of it and in Pietrelcina there’s a very profitable business running around them.

When something miraculous begins, it has to be investigated.

    Three lines under this statement

He lived in a monastery. You don’t need a doctor to declare it was a fraud if it was really a fraud.

You really can’t make any sense, do you?

  • Lmao, you call me ignorant while at the same time displaying the greatest level of hypocrisy you are putting up for the holiday season it’s priceless.

Let me remind you that you believe a con man to be a saint despite the catholic church evaluation of said con man. Talk about ignorance.

I won’t be judged by god in the end because I don’t believe god to be interested in our human activities. With the whole cosmos at her fingertips loosing time watching a sad reality show as the one we are currently putting in place in this plant would qualify her as a very low-intelligence being, which I think does not fit the definition of a god.

Lastly I’m not going anywhere since you aren’t providing any truth at all in your statements.

    Ciao!

  • Well then, wait for god to show himself to you and you alone while, at the same time, leaving everyone else free to live their lives as they see fit for themselves.

Remember what Jesus has left as only commandments: don’t judge if you don’t want to be judged and love the others as you love yourself. Of course these are two commandments which are not applicable for modern rightoids as they are well too ready to judge others and hate their neighbours if they don’t think as they would like them to but this is something they will have to discuss with their god once they’ll leave this earth. Until them we will be in their way when they’ll try to fix the their false religion and god upon us non-believers as our constitutions and legal frameworks allow us to do.

  • Lmao, your ignorance about this subject shows immediately.

Padre Pio was considered a scammer by the Catholic church itself and was also found to be a fraud when visited by the doctors sent by the pope to determine if the scars he showed to his followers were of divine origin. When analysed the doctors found that they were most likely self inflicted wounds (there’s also the testimony of a pharmacist who sold this con man some carbolic acid) and that he was putting forward a show for his followers, so much so that he was denied the right to celebrate mass for his schemes. It was John Paul the 2nd who canonized him in 2002 because he realized that if he wanted the support of the gullible people in southern Italy he would have needed to give them something in return; and so he did, by making him a saint against the better judgment of Benedict the 15th and of Pio the 11th, the popes who lived during his times and who barred him from celebrating mass.

I’d love to give you some references to educate you but unfortunately most of the material is in Italian language and your ignorance prevents you from accessing it.

Padre Pio did not invent the microscope but he was able to create a cult worshipping his image in lieu of god, a sin which should be very grave according to the Christian faith tenets

  • You speak English because is your mother tongue, I speak English because that’s the only language you can understand. We are not the same.

There’s a difference in forcing a child to go to school and forcing a child to blindly follow the tenants of a cult established by uneducated people living more than 2000 years ago. In the first case you are forcing your authority on the child to provide him with the tools needed to be accomplished in this life, as our history as a species has shown for the past two centuries, when child teaching has started to become more and more common also for the poorest classes in our societies while also our standard of living have been improving steadily. In the second one you are forcing unreasonable and, in some cases, even conflicting beliefs not based in any logic or research but in pure faith alone. What if your son does not share the same beliefs as you? Who are you to force these onto him without a single shread of evidence proving their innate validity? What if you are wrong about the afterlife and Muslims, Buddhist or any other religion are right? Are you ready to bring upon yourself and upon your child eternal damnation due to your decisions?

Lastly there is no god. Or at least there is no god as it is described by Christianity or any other major religion. God is a concept completely alien to humans, were we able to understand it we would be god’s ourselves. Since this is not the case one can only logically assume that we still haven’t find the right “god” to worship
