NPR was just discussing this a few minutes ago.

The Democrats put the majority of their push behind abortion thinking that would be the turn out vote and it didn’t seem to be.

More people voted for Trump because of the economy based on exit polling and (surprisingly) more women voted for him this time as well.

There was also more votes coming from younger people who hadn’t been through a recession before and were just basically voting ‘opposite party’ because they were tired of their money going nowhere. The voting trend was something that had been seen in several other countries recently.

This has been the real issue all along and I’ve screamed this for years. The ones in power don’t want abortion NOT because of religion but because it will cause a dent to their working underclass.

They were a joke anyway. We would always get a shipping box from Amazon, ten times the size of whatever we ordered with maybe one of these ‘plastic pillows’ thrown in for protection - just bouncing around. It was such a joke.

They stopped with the ‘it’s God punishing sinful States’ when it became apparent that all the states that kept getting hit with natural disasters were mostly Republican controlled ones. 😂

My cat is permanently the one in the upper left hand corner. We’ve had people come to visit and ask if something is wrong with her only to see her raise her head up, look at them then lay back down and start snoring again.

Am in NC but have family right over the state line in TN. Can tell you they got it as bad if not worse in places. Where the Nolichuckey winds through some of the mountain counties there are areas where all the bridges/roads in those counties are completely washed out. The water isn’t receding fast enough either.

We’ve been in continual contact with friends who are completely stranded. No way in to the area and no drinkable water.

The news is not covering it and what they are is making it sound like there are only a handful of deaths when in reality there are probably dozens of people (or more) missing.

Am afraid this is going to just all get brushed aside for some other ‘News blip’ come next week.
