This time, I would recommend Chiyo Kuno the Psychic. The manga is short and sweet, and the couple is cute.

those who can’t see but able to burn ghouls; requires food (especially sweets) as fuel for their power - Seto, Hana

Konosuba

Being a parody, it subverts most tropes of isekai anime. Its humor is exactly my type too.

Most other isekai anime have the same cookie-cutter plot, making them so predictable and boring. Or they have an interesting premise, but waste it with poor writing and dumb characters.

Since the question used “animes” (though I’ve heard plural of anime is “anime”), looks like it’s fine to list multiple shows😈 In no particular order:

• Cherry Magic! - Adachi can be assertive sometimes; Kurosawa is pretty assertive.
• Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai - Azusagawa is simply great throughout.
• Skip and Loafer - Not very romantic just yet and can’t remember it well at the moment but I believe Shima is assertive.
• The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You - Rentarou is pretty assertive.

In fact, my top favourite romance anime tend to have an assertive male protagonist. I can’t stand wimpy, indecisive, weak-willed male protagonists.

The chapter title is rather apt.

The tsundere, tomboy, childhood-friend-turned-girlfriend is pretty damn cute.

I can understand the manager’s self-loathing, but I still dislike needless drama.

By now, he should have a good idea of how his restarting ability works.

Makes me wonder why he doesn’t keep a weapon for ease of suicide with him like the MCs of Edge of Tomorrow and Webtoon Character Na Kang Lim.

The simplest guess I have is that he is too dumb to realize it.

Vinland Saga

Moral of the story: revenge (and war) is no good.

Just binged season 1 of Attack on Titan.

IMO it is overrated.

1. Besides the scenes where they are swinging around with their mobility devices, the animation is completely a slideshow.
2. There’s way too much narration and exposition.
3. The scriptwriter / original writer tried to make the characters sound cool, but they just ended up with stupid dialogue.
4. The recaps are as long as the ones in Undead Unluck, taking up close to 10% of each episode’s runtime.

Thankfully, the story and world-building is good, which is not surprising considering it is Gundam but with meat robots.

So I’m going to give it a 8 / 10

Also, now that I watched AoT, Kaiju No. 8 feels like a dumbed-down knock-off.

your favorite OPs and EDs for the season

Only Otonoke from Dan Da Dan is catchy enough for me.

Watched Handa-kun, but it was just so-so. Its sequel, Barakamon has a higher rating, so hopefully it is better.

Probably the cutest alien in manga. Picking up everyone’s speech ticks makes it even cuter.

Based on the preview text for the next chapter and the fact that it would be released on 31st October, I’m guessing the next girl is an insomniac who can only fall asleep in a coffin, mummy / vampire-style.
