1 month is nothing and the data from Statcounter is likely to be more directional (since from my understanding it's not based on shipments or POS transaction aggregation). If they saw multiple quarters of significant gains in market share, that would be a different story.

Huge growth (in the month after we released a new phone)
Yet the number of them I see in the wild each day is zero or one not counting the 8 Pro in my hand. So I think that data may be flawed. It's a sea of Apple or Samsung.
Same. Last time I actually saw one on the wild in the US was 2018. I've actually seen more One Plus phones, which doesn't exactly surprise me for some reason.
If you want your phone to be permabricked by the manufacturer at some random point in the future, it's hard to beat a Google Pixel.
Care to provide some context? I've never heard of Google permanently disabling pixel phones.

This is what bit me. Hadn't used the handset for a while. Ran updates and did a factory reset. The only fix is mainboard replacement, which our pal Google won't do for out of warranty devices despite it being their fuck up.
