New York bike maker Priority Bicycles has launched what it's calling its "most compact and versatile bicycle yet." The Folder collapses down to 30 x 24 inches for between-ride transport or storage, features a Gates Carbon Drive and a geared hub, and is priced at under $800.
So I’ve never really understood the appeal of belt bikes. I hey that they’re lower maintenance but the steep efficiency loss is a deal breaker for me
With modern gear drives the efficiency losses are minimal and yea they are insanely long lasting and debris resistant.
The few articles I’ve seen say the loss is pretty miniscule at low effort, and becomes even less at higher output.
I’ve never tried one. I have chains on my hybrid MTB and my eFatbike, they’ve been pretty reliable for me though.
