Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - Aftershave
Post Shave: allMan - Refined - Balm
Fragrance: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - EdT
Today I decided to run Tusk a bit “dry” to see how it treats me. It’s the type of soap that seems to be ready to use right after loading, with minimal need for additional water. You can certainly add a bunch of water if you want, but it doesn’t need it, and apparently doesn’t benefit from it.
The residual slickness was lacking, but the shave was a lot more comfortable compared to the shaves of the past few days where I added a lot of water.
So, my final verdict is that Tusk works best when it’s not sopping wet, but don’t expect lots of residual slickness. The importance of residual slickness is, of course, debatable, but I tend to do a lot of buffing so I like there to be some.
