The artist naming convention also followed a somewhat similar pattern, with names ranging from the normal-sounding "Calvin Mann" to head-scratchers like "Calorie Event," "Calms Scorching," and "Calypso Xored."

Not sure why this is illegal. Against the company's terms of service, sure. But the government shouldn't be involved.

Indicted on three counts involving money laundering and wire fraud, the Charlotte-area man faces a maximum of 20 years per charge.

I'm quite sure he will have committed fraud at least 1 or 2 times in there somewhere.

Artist was really dialed in to their audience. Don't hate. The streamer service is a bot. The ad system is a bot. The payment system is a bot. This man did to others as they did to him.

So Spotify and other platforms coughYouTubecoughcough are going to crack down on bots overinflating views/listens? No? Okay then.

Free him and return his money. The man made AI music, of course bots liked it it was made by them for them. Call it an art project, quit your crying, and free the dude!

Maybe he can get a bot to do time for him.
