I played a bit of it as a kid, although I don’t remember making it very far. I remember fusing monsters was fun, although I’m sure most of the strategy and mechanics went over my head. Honestly, the thing I mostly remember about it is the art style. Didn’t realize anyone from Ghibli was involved in the game, but that does explain the distinctive art style.
Yes I was kinda shocked that it was, when I started it up! I am going to possibly keep playing it … I’m not great at turned based games so I’m hoping this might teach me the basis
@Saturdaycat I only played in my youth, but never finished. Has a very nice music and it has a multiplayer mode you can fight against your friend. At that time, thanks to Pokemon, such games were still not very common for a RPG. I loved the music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5P3HMPe3Jw
Thank you for the info! Yeah I’ll check out the music too! It is a short game ?
@Saturdaycat To be honest, its 25 years ago I played it and never finished anyway. But I think it was not too long. According to user reports on https://howlongtobeat.com/game/4788 at least average of 14 hours for the main story is to be expected.
Thanks Soo much I appreciate it !
Played it a bit a few years ago on retropi. I only had a demo back in the day.
It is kind of like an early Pokémon but you can mix the creatures to create stronger ones. Thats my memory of it at least.
Gotcha! So it’s not like uh, SMT in terms of fusing demons or something? It’s more basic like pokemon? I didn’t realize studio ghibli did the videos in it !
Not sure what SMT is but it is like Pokémon in the sense that you can catch them and they fight for you. I think the process is like you have 2 of them mate and you get a more powerful offspring. Again my memory could be way off as its been a few years now and I can barely remember yesterday as it is 😅
