That’s the PM, Tambelá, comrade, not the president (who truly wields power), Traroré. Now, it’s a good sign that he’s at least not an anticommunist because he was willing to give a position in government to a ML like Tambelá, but as far as actually being a ML he hasn’t shown any other signs of that. It’s far more likely that he just generally wants the west out of the country, and he thinks that appointing a popular person in BF to (from what I can tell) a relatively weak position in government will help ensure the support of the population.

However, this also means Traroré potentially has a dedicated ML whispering in his ear, so I’m optimistic that he could take a turn to being a true Sankarist in his own right in the near future.

          • I’m regretfully extremely uninformed about the state of socialism in Africa in the 21st century, I was under the impression Angola is led by like ML grifters who haven’t improved the plight of their workers the entire time they’ve been in power, do you have any reading on Angola as a whole then, or just socialism in Africa in the 21st century?

Yeah ive also heard its quite a high CoL country, but on the flip side they have cultural elements where they open up peoples homes as midway between resturaunt and home cooking, apparently if you walk around people will turn there houses into mini-kitchens and you can just walk in if you see a menu outside and get a home cooked meal.

              • Nice pictures but sorry this doesn’t mean shit lol, you could take pictures like this in like fucking Dubai and it’s in the UAE, one of the worst countries in the world for proles and minority groups, I’d like some articles or essays (even just a yt vid would be ok for now), not saying you’re wrong but this isn’t making me any more informed.

If you don’t have any don’t worry, just let me know if you don’t so I can make a post on like genzedong or something to see if anyone has anything

It is actually quite representative of the average city in Angola. Its hard to find material on them because they are secretive, its sort of like a NK situation where they wouldnt even allow foriengers to visit till very recently, and even now you still need to be personally approved to travel there.

Feel free to ask zedong though, I just dont know much theory personally outside of the surface level of cuba supporting them and that they expressed interest to join BRICS.

                  • my point more was that it doesn’t really matter if the average city looks like this if it’s accomplished on the backs of what is essentially slave labor like in the UAE.

And thanks for letting me know! Would you like me to tag you if I get any good responses?
