I have a tremendously large skull (like XXL hats) - maybe that’s why I can still do some basic math after the testosterone brain poison during puberty? […] Now I’m looking at tech billionaires. Mostly lo-T looking men. Elon Musk & Jeff Bezos were big & bald but seem to have pretty big skulls to compensate

Mark phrenology off your bingo cards, Foppington’s law strikes again:

Once bigotry or self-loathing permeate a given community, it is only a matter of time before deep metaphysical significance is assigned to the shape of human skulls.

we lost so much when Koanic Soul closed and it left early-2010s neoreactionary discourse

amazing new slurs for unworthy skull shapes that you just don’t hear any more

Look, you gotta forgive this guy for coming up with an insane theory that doesn’t make sense. After all, his brain was poisoned by testosterone, so his thinking skills have atrophied. An XXL hat size can only do so much, you know.

Clearly he should have gotten even more Testosterone so eventually the ‘I cannot buy hats’ problem would be solved in the traditional non-woke japanese way. If we are running on 4chan logic.

The comments get even nuttier (im sorry):

Or, if testosterone changes attention (as Gunnar wrote), learn as much as possible before the testosterone fully hits… and afterwards learn it again, because it could give you a new perspective.

Yeah sure, just learn university courses before puberty. And then again after.

It’s called learnmaxxing and it’s only for alpha males

Pretty sure this flies in the face of traditional rat phrenology.

start slamming testosterone and amphetamines to get your workaholicism, betterThanEveryone complex, and drive for power

Ah yeah all things that are good that you should aspire to, and within this pokemon-esque understanding of drugs and human physiology, things you just automagically gain from pills

    Then from another comment:

Seems it is easier / more streamlined / more googlable now for a teenage male to get testosterone blockers than testosterone. Latter is very frowned upon — I guess because it is cheating in sports. Try googling eg “get testosterone prescription high school reddit -trans -ftm”. The results are exclusively people shaming the cheaters. Whereas of course googling “get testosterone blockers high school reddit” gives tons of love & support & practical advice.

Hey dawg are you pro-T-blocking or not? First you say I should delay my puberty until I’m 22, now you start JAQing off about how trans people have it too easy. Which is it?

Females however retain easy access to hormones via birth control.

How did I not see this comment worded in this specific way coming

because of course this complete dipshit isn’t good at anything, he managed to google for this without uncovering the most basic facts about it:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7705876/

Testosterone (T) therapy is routinely prescribed in adolescent males with constitutional delay of growth and puberty (CDGP) or hypogonadism.

literally the opposite of what he thinks is true: hrt is trivially accessible, you just need a doctor to eyeball you and determine you’re not bro enough. BUT, only if you’re cis.

another fun fact along these lines: in the UK, you can get hrt over the counter, but only if you’re an old cis woman

But here’s a recipe for success according to the theory:

    • start slamming testosterone and amphetamines to get your workaholicism, betterThanEveryone complex, and drive for power

Yet another dude who watched Wolf of Wall Street and thought “yes, this is what peek success looks like, I’ll aspire to be like this”. Absolute rubes the lot of them.

The higher-T among us seem significantly brain damaged since high school (myself included). I wonder what the mechanism would be here…

Any sensible statistical analysis of brain damage must control for common brain injury factors, chief among them American football and frequenting Less Wrong. My money is on rat poison and not T poison.

I wonder how many recent trans people tried/considered doubling down on their sex (eg males taking more testosterone) instead first. Maybe (for some people) either end of gender spectrum is comfortable and being in the middle feels bad¿ Anybody know? Don’t want to ask my friends because this Q will certainly anger them

Does he want to medically transition from being a man to being a… bigger, stronger man? Because there’s a special place you can do that and it doesn’t require you to yo-yo your body’s test levels for 2 decades.

This is literally the same conversation therapy approach they use against gay people lol* the idea is that people believe they’re gay because they are insecure about not being traditionally masculine or feminine enough (usually due to a bad relationship with their parents) and if they just learn how to be masc enough/fem enough then they’ll be able to be heterosexual.

      *kill me now
