      It’s obviously hard to tell but the French do drink a sweet low alcohol cider (like 2-3% alcohol) during the day, particularly in summer when it is incredibly refreshing.

      On the other hand, they’re not huge tea drinkers.

      On the other hand though they’re keenly aware that the Brits love a good cuppa.

      But on the other hand there is no milk in sight which is basically blasphemy to an English gentleman with a rifle to hand.

      Edit: lastly, if that is tea, it looks like the kind of tea that is so weak it might cause an Englishman to build a guillotine over.

      All in all, I conclude that the likelihood is cider.

          In that situation I’d be happy with the steam off a tea bag tbh and absolutely anything drinkable being delivered like that would be like the nectar of the Gods.
