Atheism has no tenets, holy books, authority figures, etc. Nor is it developing those things. That applies in person and on the internet. It is in no way a religion. Not playing golf isn’t a sport.

You still don’t understand what I am saying so I will try and explain it one more time:
What you’re describing is ATHEISM. And you are correct. But…. What I’m talking about is this thing kids are CALLING “atheism.”
It’s not atheism. It’s angsty hatred for cool points. They’ve co-opted the word and made it something else. Actual atheism isn’t about smug hatred.
