My asterisk was there to convey that everyone had their own terms and conditions they applied to it so it is an impotent commandment.

unless they are from another country
unless they believe in another religion
unless their skin is a different colour
unless they voted differently to me

If you change the meaning, you aren’t defying God so you can still proclaim yourself to be righteous.
