      A 2000 Honda CRV

Most of the trails I go to aren’t that intense to get to (though they can be sketchy enough road wise that I have to pull over and walk to the trail rather than drive) but my poor little Kia Rio just can’t take it no more lol

        WOOOOO CRV

had one o’ those a while ago, 2000 or early 2000s. Only complaint is my butt would go numb on drives over four hours. Prolly coulda fixed that with a cushion of some sort, but had to get different car.

Enjoy. I hope it treats you well.

Costs was a big factor, including costs of insurance (a huge factor (the CRV is $35 to insure)) and costs of parts. Not to mention the costs (and availablily) of aftermarket stuff.

Plus I have a few friends who have them as well and they’re very fun little SUVs

Oh I forgot about insurance. But here where I live there’s a different kind of it which is extremely cheap afaik so it’s not much of a factor. And yea all of that makes sense. I’m just not a fan of SUVs I guess

I’m definitely not a fan of modern SUVs which are basically tanks (like seriously you should def check this tool out to compare car sizes)

I was also looking at smaller pickups (like 1980s to 1999) but they’re so bloody expensive right now locally.

I even looked at kei trucks (and almost bought one (they’re street legal in my state) but changed my mind when I double checked how it would affect my insurance cost and they told me they wouldn’t insure it, so I’d have to get a second insurance plan from another company and I didn’t want to go through that headache.

                  Honestly yeah

Basically they told me that because it was never originally sold (or an equivalent model) in the states they wouldn’t insure it

                  It was pretty frustrating
