Defund the police" is widely misunderstood as a phrase

    From Google:

defund v prevent (a group or organization) from continuing to receive funds

Words have meaning. Using words to represent new meanings breaks down our ability to communicate and think.

If Democrats didn’t want to mislead people, they shouldn’t have started using this “phrase” (Sorry it’s a slogan not a phrase. Again, words have definitions).

I agree it is a terrible and misleading phrase with a very confused meaning. Which just adds to why it is a terrible quote to use to support winter’s claim.

I used the word as the democrats did. It’s led to a massive increase in crime, more criminals on the streets and less cops. We also have shortage of cops in large cities. Imagine that. Why would someone want to be a cop in a city where they don’t value your services?

The city I live in divided into red/blue areas. I live in a red area. We have quick police response. They deal with the issue and we don’t complain about it.

I had some homeless people by my house. Called the cops and they were hauled away in less than an hour. That’s what I want from my police force. Quick, professional responses to criminal activity.

        Crime is currently downtrending.

        This is beyond parody.

That isn’t parody. The police asked me to stop spraying them with a hose and instead they would be remove them. Fair enough.

Nothing cruel about it. Don’t trespass. It’s not that complicated. I get you hate the law but it’s why we have a polite society. So instead I call the police and they take them to jail.

I’d like to hear you say that after becoming homeless for a few years and sprayed with water in the winter.

                Don’t trespass.

Pretty fucking hard to do when your very existence is considered trespassing.

I will never be homeless. I’m not a Junkie or someone who won’t work.

lol. Nobody said their existence is trespassing. Laying in my yard or walking on my private street is trespassing. Don’t do it. It’s that simple.
