Hey, FUCKER here. For the people who actually remember me, yes I’m still alive. If you’re wondering why I stopped posting, it was a combination of things, but it was mostly caused by my deteriorating motivation to do anything recently. When I first started this community, I was always excited to hear people’s funny thought on the random images I’ve uploaded. Hearing people’s stories motivated me to keep growing this community to what it was. But like everything I touch, I was burnt out. I was (and kinda still) in a period of my life where I had no motivation to do anything in my life. I’ve stopped doing what I loved and started to regret the action I’ve done in the past. Because of that, I’ve stopped being active here and took a mental break for a while, hence the inactivity.

I’ve decided that I don’t really wanna keep posting here anymore. I don’t have the mental motivation to keep this up, so I’ve decided to make a proposition for the community.

I’m willing to let someone else manage this community while I’m gone. They will moderate and upload content to the community for me. If no one wants to take management, then I will shut down this community.

While I do think this sounds a bit harsh, I do think that this is necessary for this community. If someone doesn’t actively moderate, then this community will turn into a generic /c/196 clone. This wont be a popular decision, but I think it’s the best option we got.

Before I go, I just wanna say thank you to anyone who contributed to the community. From the commenters, to the posters, I’m glad we could make an interesting and unique community for Lemmy.

As my token of appreciation, I’ve linked my archive of posts from the original /r/internet_funeral subreddit for you guys to share. This is what I’ve been using for the past 7 months to post here, so I hope you enjoy it. :)

Thanks for everything

Thank you for your kind words. When I first discovered about these images, I had a deep connection with them. They were always so unique, yet I’ve never seen nor flet anything like them before. I just to share what I liked to the Lemmy community.
