Arteta chose Zinchenko over Kiwior. But, if he’d had either Timber or Tomiyasu I suspect one of them would have started. Zinchenko was useful in midfield in this game, but he was such a liability in defense, especially against Salah. Liverpool were targeting him all game.

It was a fair enough result. The stats were very even and we were lucky not to have paid the price for being caught on the break. Top at Christmas is nice. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Martinelli was so indecisive this game, it was really frustrating. The Trossard sub was the right move and it could’ve even come sooner for me. Happy with the result overall though, this weekend could’ve been an absolute nightmare for us if things fell differently.

I do wish we could just finish out dinner. So many really clear chances that just didn’t get put away, although Liverpool were almost as bad in that regard so I can’t feel too hard done by.

It’s a well deserved draw for both sides. Either sidw could have stepped up and secured a victory but it was a close match, one that I feel like we should be proud of.

We took the game to them early on and we really didn’t take out foot off the gas, so much as they found their rhythm as the game went on.

Martinelli, Zinchenko and Havertz could have played better. Rice, Saliba and Big Gabby were absolutely rock solid.

It was Anfield, we played well overall and fans should be happy with how well we played, considering our history here lol.

I wanted a statement victory. Wanted to crush them like Brighton.

But they managed to cancel out our buildup with some pitch black magic and Kavanaugh allowing them license to push and shove. Thankful for Rice and Jesus(more involved in buildup than Ø) as always.

Maybe Reiss could have done better in place of Tross.
