The EV and car ecosystem in China is genuinely wild. It’s incredible to see how many domestic brands have popped up and flourished in just the last 5 to 10 years. The non-luxury market used to be Volkswagens and Japanese brands and those have all but been displaced by local brands to the point where Honda is considering pulling out and VW has been pushed up market.
