1988 Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Pure thrash edging towards tech-thrash. The band is on hold after Greg Messick’s unexpected death before some planned reunion shows. RIP

This band kind of reminds me of that one Lȧȧz Rockit post I made a little while ago, and of course, some Slayer lol.

This is a great track, but I can’t lie, the album as a whole is a little, dull? The riffs are INCREDIBLE at points but also occasionally I just sit around thinking “man, I wish this was Vio-Lence instead…”.

A lot of stuff I’ve found here and there sorta recently is in the same boat. Like it’s all fine and dandy, but it isn’t GREAT xD.

That’s inevitable, I wish sturgeon’s law didn’t apply to my favorite genres of music, but sadly it does. Still, I don’t wanna sound overly harsh on what is actually a really good album, I think it’s really just that it didn’t age particularly well.

We all got opinions - there’s that one black/thrash band I posted maybe 2-3 weeks ago, easily top 5 discoveries of the year for me and only 5 upvotes xD. Hell even just today, I posted a Warrel Dane solo song in heavy metal, and it’s at zero (not that I’m complaining, i ain’t editing it or taking it down), I love most of what that dude has done, but I can see why his voice can be so annoying for some.

I still have hangups on most of Municipal Waste’s stuff but I’m actively trying to come around on them lmao. I also fucking love certain songs on Metallica’s Load/ReLoad, and even one song on St. Anger. Unironically.

What makes an album a dud? I guess not getting enough traction to gain a following, especially over a length of time maybe?
